The FIM and BSI Speedway have announced that the season-ending 2021 eWinner Torun FIM Speedway Grand Prix of Poland will now be a double-header event, taking place Friday, 1 October and Saturday, 2 October at Marian Rose MotoArena

Like previously announced double-headers, riders will compete each night for the maximum 20 points per SGP round. The last tour date on the 2021 calendar is sure to be an exciting weekend, culminating in a winner being crowned. Torun has hosted a FIM Speedway Grand Prix round every year since 2010, with the World Championship trophy being presented six times to the World Champion.

“We’re really pleased we get to end our season in Torun,” stated Paul Bellamy, SVP and Managing Director of Motorsports Events at IMG, which operates the FIM Speedway Grand Prix series. “The Polish fans are amazing and always create the most incredible atmosphere, so we’re thrilled to bring them a two night finale of back-to-back action.”

Mayor of Torun, Michal Zaleski said, “Once again Torun will be the organiser of this great speedway show. The fact that we have been entrusted with the organisation of two tournaments in this year’s series means that our city is a proven and attractive place for speedway rivalry and performs well in its role as the organiser of this event. We will make every effort to ensure that the riders and fans feel safe and fully enjoy the joy of rivalry of speedway champions. I wish everyone a strong and unforgettable sporting experience.”
