Inzell to host 2024 FIM Ice Speedway World Championship finals

The FIM in conjunction with DMV Landesgruppe Südbayern, the organiser of this weekend’s 2023 FIM Ice Speedway World Championship finals at Inzell, is pleased to announce that next year’s finals will return to the Max Aicher Arena in the German city on 23-24 March 2024.

The organisers have been an integral part of the FIM Ice Speedway World Championship since 1968 and with eleven-thousand fans in attendance this weekend this new agreement will extend their involvement, further raising the sport’s profile.

Armando Castagna, FIM Track Racing Commission Director, said“The FIM Ice Speedway World Championship has been suffering a lot in the last three years and we are delighted to see the light at the end of the tunnel by announcing a fifty-sixth collaboration with Inzell and DMSB for 2024. The Max Aicher Arena is a fantastic stadium for Ice Speedway and the DMV Landesgruppe Südbayer team members are very skilled people. We can see again this year the level of organisation and the FIM Track Racing Commission is very excited to work again with such experienced people. I’m personally delighted and I really hope that Inzell will be on our Ice Speedway calendar for many years to come.”

Kai Schmiedeknecht, DMV Landesgruppe Südbayern CEO, stated: “Ice speedway fans can look forward to top events in Inzell. On 23-24 March 2024 the world elite will meet again in the Max Aicher Arena to hold exciting races there. Even before the current FIM Ice Speedway World Championship final, the DMV Landesgruppe Südbayern agreed with the FIM on another very successful cooperation that had existed since 1968. The professional and constructive cooperation between the FIM and the DMV Landesgruppe Südbayern has achieved spectacular results over the decades. We are proud to be able to host a world championship in Germany and to welcome the international racing circuit here in Bavaria.”
